This month’s Book Selection comes from my fellow writer and
friend, Jodie Cain Smith. Her novel is called The Woods At Barlow Bend. One of the things that make this book
so fascinating is that it is based on true stories told to the author by her
grandmother. It is a murder/mystery centered in the deep south. I have just
started the novel but am already entranced by the characters, setting (which is
almost like another character) and the use of language. It's available in both Kindle and paperback format. Kudos, Jodie! Check it
